BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  • Deposit: 25% non-refundable deposit required to secure a room – unless alternately arranged.
  • Payment: Payment for accommodation in full is required 60 days prior to arrival.
  • Payment for extras can be made at the lodge by cash, or Visa/Mastercard
  • Cancellation: 25% of fee booking is cancelled
  • 50% of fee if cancelled less than 45 days prior to arrival

Please note that all cancellations are only effective once confirmed in writing by our sales office. Please note that all refunds are subject to commission and/or bank charges. If the payment terms are not adhered to then the rack rates will apply. Should the deposit/pre-payment not be received within the timeframe specified, BOOKING BOTSWANA TRAVEL AGENCY reserves the right to cancel the reservation. The final rooming list should also be in BOOKING BOTSWANA TRAVEL AGENCY possession 30 days prior to arrival date. Early arrivals/late departures: Kindly contact the lodge in good time to arrange for any early arrivals and late departures. No refunds will be given for meals or services not taken up.
GROUP BOOKINGS
Please note for group bookings we require provisional rooming lists 60 days prior to arrival and final rooming lists 30 days prior to arrival. Please make sure to specify any dietary requirements as well as where the group is coming from and the expected time of arrival. Kindly provide the tour leader name and contact details. NO GROUPS ALLOWED IF PAYMENT HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED.
TIPPING POLICY
Tipping is recommended and no set rate is applied. A recommendation of USD10 per person per night can be applied. There is a tip-box located in reception and at the bar and all tips are shared between all staff members.
CHECK IN/OUT TIMES
Check in time is usually from 14h00 and check out time is by 10h00. Reception is manned from 06h00 to 21h00 any arrivals or departures out of these times need to be pre-arranged with the lodge.
CHILD POLICY
Children 6 and over are welcome at Chobe River Lodge and are also welcomed to partake in activities.
  • Children under the age of 6 can get special permission to travel in green season.
  • 2 children up to the age of 12 is permitted to share with their parents in a Family or Courtyard room with a sleeper couch.
  • When there are 2 children 13+ an additional room would need to be booked and the normal adult room rate will apply.
  • 13 – 18-year-olds will be considered an adult for the purpose of this document and if wanting to share with parents the adult rate will apply.
